Owls Begin Prep For Oklahoma State

BOCA RATON, FL- With a short week for preparation Florida Atlantic University's football team held an in-depth practice on Monday afternoon on the Tom Oxley Athletic fields.

After being named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week earlier in the day, quarterback Danny Embick had a tremendous practice. Embick showed good accuracy and great arm strength during drills. He earned the honor by throwing for 299 yards and three touchdowns in the Owls 30-19 loss to Kansas on Saturday.

Cortez Gent, Kahleaf Watson, and Jamie Goleski all had long touchdown receptions during one-on-one drills.

The Owls will play the program's first Thursday night game 7 p.m., September 8 at Dolphins Stadium against Oklahoma State. Country music star Lee Greenwood will have a special performance at halftime. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN2.
