Mascia Named A-Sun Player of the Week

Tim Mascia, of Wellington, Fla., finished the weekend batting .500 (6-12) with a team-leading five RBI in the series win over #25 UCF.

Mascia opened the series with a 1-for-3 effort in the series-opening win for the Owls as he scored a run and drove in two. In game two, he went 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI. In the 14-3 FAU win in the rubber game of the series, Mascia went 3-for-6 with two RBI, a run scored and a stolen base. Mascia is one of the hottest hitters in the league of late, since April 1st he is batting .393 with 13 RBI in 16 games. This is Mascia's third A-Sun Player-of-the-Week honor and his second this season.
