Mascia Earns Player-of-the-Week Honors

After starting the 2004 season with Atlantic Sun Player-of-the-Week recognition, Florida Atlantic University outfielder Tim Mascia repeated the feat and became the first A-Sun player to earn the award in 2005 announced the Atlantic Sun office on Monday.
A native of Wellington, FL, Mascia guided FAU to a series sweep of Cincinnati this past weekend by hitting .538 (7-for-13) with five RBI and posting a .615 slugging percentage with four walks and four stolen bases.
A Preseason All-Conference member, Mascia drove in the winning run in the third game of the series with a two-run double in the bottom of the eighth inning to secure a victory.
Currently ranked no. 29 by Collegiate Baseball, FAU will host no. 23 TCU in a three-game series starting on Friday.
