Boca Raton, FL - Florida Atlantic University's football game with the University of North Texas scheduled for 4 p.m., Saturday, November 12 at Lockhart Stadium has been moved to Dolphins Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m., November 12. The move is a necessity following damage to Lockhart Stadium in the aftermath of Hurricane Wilma, announced FAU Athletics Director Craig Angelos.
"Bruce Schulze and the Dolphins Stadium staff are extremely kind to help us with the relocation of our football game. Not only has the stadium staff stepped up to assist us but several community leaders have stepped forward to purchase tickets for anyone who wants to enjoy an afternoon away from the effects of the hurricane by coming to the game," Angelos said.
Tickets have been made available through the generosity of ADT Services, Inc, Applied Cards, Florida Crystals, Doug Doxey and the Beacon Group. They can be requested or picked up in advance by calling the athletic ticket office at 1-866-FAU-OWLS.
FAU will also take the opportunity to recognize its football seniors, and student athletes who earned a 3.0 g.p.a. during the '05 spring semester.
The game, sponsored by ADT Securities Services, Inc., will also have a theme: "Hurricane Wilma Recovery Day".
All tickets that have been purchased in advance will be honored as general admission. The club section will remain closed for the game.
