A looming thunderstorm shortened Florida Atlantic University's football practice but the team got in a good practice on Saturday afternoon. Despite the heat, both sides of the ball had solid performances with no major mistakes. The squad spent most of the practice scrimmaging. Both the offense and defense worked on situational plays during the two-hour practice. Jared Allen connected with Brittney Tellis (WR) and Roosevelt Bynes (WR) for the longest gains of the practice. Doug Parker (RB) saw the majority of work out of the back field. The special teams saw a lot of action during the controlled scrimmage. Brittney Tellis worked as the punt returner, while Anthony Jackson and Larry Taylor were deep on kick offs. Sunday's practice will be held at 4 pm before the team receives Monday off as it begins its normal schedule during a game week.
