Boca Raton, FL - The final 2004 three-a-day has come and gone for Florida Atlantic University's football team and it ended on a positive note with coaches praising players on field performance.
The team began the day with a practice from with a morning practice that consisted of individual work. The mid morning session included work with the wide receivers and containment by defensive backs. Practice continued through its every day schedule with one exception. Seven-on-seven drills were done without the intended tight ends with all being held out to rest nagging injuries.
Quarterback, Danny Embick was added to the special teams drills, an area he played both in high school and at West Virginia.
In an effort to run through plays for the team's second scrimmage of the preseason each quarterback ran through his team work drills, blitz drills and situational drills.
FanFest is scheduled for 2 pm, Saturday, at Lockhart Stadium. The event will include an autograph session with football, volleyball, men's and women's soccer as well as the respective coaches. An interactive area for children is planned as well as a post football scrimmage opportunity for fans, with cameras, to have there photos taken with their favorite players. All FanFest events are free and open to the public.
