BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's football team returned to practice Tuesday afternoon after having Monday off. The team began practice an hour early due to the end of daylight savings time. The Owls, coming off a 38-8 win over Florida A&M, wasted little time in preparing for their upcoming game against Troy University, practicing against Trojan scout teams before working on field goal drills.
"They [Troy] will be the best team we played up to date. We know them and they certainly know us," said head coach Howard Schnellenberger.
The defense closed out practice on a strong note, blocking two out of five field goals. Mark Myers connected from 32 and 37 yards out before being blocked twice.
FAU continues practice on Wednesday at 2:30 pm. Practice is free and open to the public.
