BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's football team continued its prep work for its battle against Illinois State this Saturday. The Owls worked extensively in team drills with little work on individual drills as the first team defense worked as the Redbirds scout defense against the first team offense. After a three-game layoff, Roosevelt Bynes shook off some of the rust and caught a deep pass from Jared Allen on a straight vertical route.
The Owls defense made noise early as Yrvens Guerrier intercepted the first play from scrimmage, a screen pass intended for Doug Parker, and returned it 20-yards to the house. The offense though got its groove back when Thomas Parker, for the second straight day, caught an over-the-shoulder pass from Allen on a straight vertical route.
The Owls will return to practice on Thursday, November 18.
