BOCA RATON, FL - Sunny skies presided over practice on Tuesday afternoon as the Florida Atlantic University football team got back to work after having Monday off. The Owls practiced for 22 periods in helmets and pads as both the offense and defense worked against Texas State scout teams. FAU, which faces the Bobcats (2-2) on Saturday, October 9, has not played a game since its 27-20 win over Middle Tennessee State on September 18, a span of 21-days.
Practice opened up with stretching and positional drills before the offense and defense moved into team drills. Offensive linemen Kevin Fischer and Dave Richards drew praise during their trench drills against the defensive line. Doug Parker attended practice in helmet and shorts but did not participate in any drills.
FAU returns to practice on Wednesday, October 6 at 3:30 pm. Practice is free and open to the public.
