Larry Taylor was a favorite target in Thursday afternoon's football practice at Florida Atlantic University. In 11-on-11 scout team drills, Taylor teamed with Jared Allen for a touchdown with an over the shoulder catch in the right corner of the endzone. He came back in the second series to catch a Danny Embick pass for a 30-yard gain.
In the two-minute drill, Quincy Skinner came up with an interception on an Allen pass. The sophomore has one interception on the year.
On the next series, Allen corrected his mistake and found Brittney Tellis for a 30-yard gain and connected with him on the next play for a touchdown.
The team worked on field goals to close out practice. Mark Myers connected on nine straight field goals to end practice before the team travels to Florida A&M on Friday. Game time versus the Rattlers is scheduled for 4 pm at Bragg Stadium.
