Midweek Rivalry Continues

In the third midweek game against Florida International University, right-handed pitcher Chris Pillsbury is expected to take the mound against FIU's Josh Banks. Florida Atlantic University is currently on a three-game win streak after sweeping Siena University last weekend.
Pillsbury enters the game with a 3-1 record. His only setback of the season came against Eastern Michigan University on February 15. The senior from Jacksonville, FL is holding opponents to a .212 batting average and has struck out 20 in 23 innings of work.
Josh Banks enters the game with a 2-0 record, both victories came against FAU (9-4). In his two outings against Florida Atlantic, Banks has shutout FAU and held the team to five total hits.
Florida International (11-3) fell in the rankings this week after dropping two-of-three to Bethune-Cookman College.
Left fielder Matt Pali enters the game with a 17-game hitting streak dating back to last season. The senior from Houston, TX is the only player to record a hit in both games against FIU. Pali leads the team with a .370 average, 6 doubles, 2 triples and a .611 slugging percentage.
