Taylor Drake joined the Florida Atlantic University staff in February 2020 as an Assistant Director of Communications. She primarily works with softball, men's and women's cross country, as well as indoor and outdoor track & field.
Prior to her time at FAU, Drake spent three years at Union College (Ky.) as the Assistant Director of Communications. She began her tenure there in January of 2017 and was the primary contact for men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s tennis, women’s basketball, men’s and women’s swimming and diving and baseball.
During the 2019 baseball campaign, she covered the NAIA tournament opening round along with the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament.
A 2014 graduate of Bryan College (Tenn.), Drake majored in social and behavior arts. She was a member of the Lion volleyball program and served as the team's statistician for three years. Drake also assisted as a member of the statistics crew at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) volleyball tournaments for three years.
The Lebanon, Tenn., native, then was a graduate assistant at University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) Multi-Media and Athletic Service Department from August 2014 through May 2016. During her tenure there, Drake assisted with the streaming of the Patriot athletic events, compiled statistics at multiple and various sporting events and wrote press releases for the department.
In May 2016, Drake graduated from Cumberlands with a master’s in business administration.
Drake is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). She serves on the Diversity and Inclusion committee for CoSIDA.
Drake resides in Boynton Beach, Fla. with her dog, Nala.
