Anderson Qualifies in Two Finals Events for the Owls

DENTON, Texas – Teegan Anderson of the Florida Atlantic women's track & field team has qualified for two final events (1500-meter and 800-meter) in the 2026 American Conference Outdoor Championships.
Across the first two days of competition, the Plymouth, Minnesota native Anderson has qualified for the finals in two events in her first time competing in outdoor postseason as an Owl, while junior Jessica Hatch represented Florida Atlantic in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
QUICK HITS
- Anderson ran a 2:12.57 to qualify in the 800-meter as she crossed the finish line seventh overall.
- Hatch placed sixth out of 16 runners in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:51.31.
- On day one of the championships, Anderson finished sixth to move on to the finals in the 1500-meter (4:36.06).
UPCOMING
The Owls will close out the 2026 American Outdoor Championships in Denton, Texas, on Saturday, May 16. The final day will begin with the 4x100-meter relay.
