Michael Theile joined Florida Atlantic University’s staff as an athletic training fellow in June 2021. He works primarily with the baseball and cheer teams.
Prior to FAU, he worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Georgia State University. Michael provided full care to the Panther baseball team while also assisting the football medical staff.
During his undergraduate career, Theile had the opportunity to work with the Milwaukee Brewers throughout their 2018 NL Central Division championship season and with the Lakeshore Chinooks of the Northwoods League during their 2017 season as an athletic training student intern. He also worked with the men's basketball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, and men's soccer teams as an undergraduate student at Marquette.
Theile graduated cum laude with his Bachelor of Science in athletic training from Marquette University in 2019. In 2021, he earned his Master of Science in exercise science from Georgia State University.
A board-certified and licensed athletic trainer, Theile also holds certifications in First Aid/CPR from the American Heart Association and in Sound-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. Theile is currently a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the Southeast Athletic Trainers’ Association, the Florida Athletic Trainers’ Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
