Upcoming Event: Women's XC/Track & Field versus Ed Holloway Classic on October 17, 2025 at 6:45 p.m.

Aisha Naibe Wey joined the Florida Atlantic University women’s track and field staff in October of 2016. She comes to Boca Raton by way of the University of Virginia, where she was an All-Atlantic Coast Conference performer.
Naibe Wey received her Bachelor of Science degree from Brunel University in London, England, and then ran for Virginia for one year as a graduate student for the 2016 outdoor season. At the ACC Championship, she earned silver medalist honors in the 400 meter hurdles, running a time of 57.84 to advancing to the NCAA East Regional and earn All-ACC honors. That time ranks fourth on the women’s all-time list at UVA. She went on to receive her Master of Education degree in kinesiology, specifically adapted physical education, from the institution, and was named to the All-ACC Academic Team and ACC Academic Honor Roll.
In her homeland, Naibe Wey was the National Junior Champion in the 400 meter hurdles in 2012, and advanced to become the British Universities Champion in the same event in 2014. She was a finalist at the British Championships/European Trails, finishing fifth overall, and was an international representative for her country for the first time in 2015.
Following graduation, she worked as an adapted physical education instructor for the Virginia Institute for Autism in Charlottesville, Va. Naibe Wey has also worked as a Special Olympics instructor.
