Comes to Florida Atlantic as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in August of 2025
Will serve as the athletic trainer for the Owls’ women’s basketball and women’s golf teams
At California State University-Bakersfield
In September of 2024, joined California State University-Bakersfield as an assistant athletic trainer working with men’s and women’s soccer, women’s indoor volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s wrestling, softball, track and field, women’s golf, and beach volleyball
Helped with onboarding and medically clearing incoming freshmen and transfer athletes after reviewing acceptable documents such as physical, sickle cell test results, etc., while filing medical insurance claims for student athletes
Prevented, recognized, and assessed athletic injuries while developing, administering, and implementing preventative and rehabilitation programs to treat athletic injuries using the appropriate therapeutic modalities
Constant communication with colleagues, coaches, strength and conditioning coaches, physicians, and physical therapist regarding injury status and treatment plans, also tasked with treating and rehabilitating post-op injuries under the guidance of the physician
At California State University-Chico Athletics
Became an Assistant Athletic Trainer at California State University-Chico in August 2021, assisting in first aid and emergency care for the injured athletes while helping prevent, evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate injuries, as well as referring to proper specialists
Sports assignments included women’s volleyball, softball, and men’s and women’s basketball teams, also assisting with other sports such as baseball, women's/men's soccer, track/cross country, and men's/women's golf teams
Assisted post-surgical treatment and rehab cases and communicated athlete injury updates with supervisor, colleagues, coaches, and strength and conditioning coaches
Utilized multiple different programs including SWAY for concussion management, SportsWare EMR to document injuries and illnesses and Teamworks software to communicate with coaches and athletes regarding physical, sickle cell test results, assumption of risk form, ADHD form, medical insurance, and medical history information
Personal Education: Earned an Associate of Arts degree from Yavapai College in December of 2013. Furthered her education with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Wellness degree from Arizona State University in May of 2016. Then received a Master of Science in Athletic Training degree from Northern Arizona in May of 2019. Certifications/Memberships:
