BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women's basketball Head Coach LeAnn Freeland made another talented addition to the 2026-27 team in freshman guard Ke'Adriah Butler.
Butler, from Indianapolis, Indiana, joins the Owls after an impressive career at Lawrence Central and Lawrence North High School.
"Keke (Ke'Adriah) is an explosive, transition combo guard who can score at all three levels extremely efficiently," expressed Coach Freeland. "She attacks the rim well, creating great looks for herself and her teammates. Keke is a proven winner. She exudes confidence on the court and helped lead Lawrence North to a state title in 2025, along with a final four appearance with Lawrence Central this season. She is one of the best players in Indiana and played for an elite WV Thunder AAU program coached by TJ Perry. We expect Keke to have an immediate impact for us. Our coaching staff and players are excited to announce Keke Butler is an Owl!"
Butler arrives in Boca Raton after an impressive career at Lawrence Central and Lawrence North High School. Butler played at Lawrence North High School during her freshman, sophomore, and junior seasons, before transferring to Lawrence Central for her senior season. During her senior season with Lawrence Central, Butler helped guide the Bears to the IHSAA sectional and regional championships, and an IHSAA Semi-State Title, finishing in the state semifinals.
At Lawrence North, the 2024-25 All-City Girls Honorable Mention honoree helped guide the Wildcats to a 2025 state championship, recording 20 points, eight rebounds, and a pair of steals in the title game as a junior. During her freshman season, Butler helped the Wildcats win the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference (MIC) championship, the IHSAA sectional and regional championships, and the IHSAA Semi-State Championship, advancing to the state semifinals. Individually, Butler was named the Most Valuable Player in the Indiana All-Star Basketball Classic. She was a 2026 Miss Indiana Basketball candidate and was recognized by the Indy Star on the 2025-26 Preseason Super Team.
In 2024, Butler was named a top-20 Indiana prospect. Throughout her four-year prep career, Butler recorded 947 points, 301 rebounds, 143 steals, and 105 assists. She was recognized as the Bear of the Month six times and earned honor roll recognition.
