BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women's basketball Head Coach LeAnn Freeland added extra size at the post position for the 2026-27 squad with the addition of 6-foot-3 senior forward Mia Jordan.
Jordan, from Gold Coast, Australia, arrives in Paradise after playing her junior season at Northern Kentucky.
"Mia is a skilled low block player who is also very comfortable on the perimeter," expressed Coach Freeland. "She brings versatility to the offensive end from the post position with her 3-point range, timely passing, and ability to attack space off the dribble. On the defensive end, she is a physical low-block defender who understands positioning. Because of her size and skill set, we expect her to be an impact player right away. Our coaching staff and players are excited to announce Mia Jordan is an Owl!"
In her junior season at NKU, Jordan played in 32 contests and made nine starts for the Norse. She posted four double-figure performances and one double-double on the season. She collected a season-best 12 rebounds and tied a season-high 10 points against Stetson on Nov. 25. Jordan tied a season-high 10 points and three assists in a win at Wright State on Jan. 17.
Prior to arriving at NKU, Jordan played her first two collegiate seasons at Dodge City Community College. During her sophomore season, Jordan helped lead the Conquistadors to their first Final Four berth, playing in 27 games and averaging 7.7 points and 4.5 rebounds, and earning Region 6 All-Tournament Team and Region 6 Tournament MVP honors. As a freshman, Jordan tallied 4.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game during the 2023-24 season.
