Tyler Beard joined the FAU swimming & diving program as diving coach in September 2021.

Beard joins the Owls’ program after serving three years as an assistant coach at the Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. During his tenure there, Beard coached two state champion swimming & diving teams. He has coached multiple individual state champions and diving record holders. Prior to his stay at Pine Crest, Beard was the head diving coach at Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale.

Beard was a collegiate diver himself at University of North Carolina from 2010-2013. He graduated as a Tar Heel with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2014.
