Ryan Able joined Florida Atlantic University Athletics as a Media Relations Assistant in January of 2017 working with the softball team and assisting with all sports during his non-travel time.
The summer of 2017 saw Able transition back into football as an operations assistant where his efforts were focused on the team's day-to-day operations and in the recruiting efforts. Essentially, Able split his efforts between the Director of Football Operations and the Director of Player Personnel. In October of 2019, he was named the Associistant Director of football operations and later made the transition to the new coaching staff in 2020.
Able came to FAU after working as a game day staff assistant during the summer of 2016, for the Major League Lacrosse team based in Boca Raton, the Florida Launch. While with the Launch, Able assisted with promotional activities and in-game fan experiences.
His last semester of college, Fall 2016, he worked as an intern with the UK Marketing Department with a concentration in the promotions and event planning for Wildcat football, men’s soccer and men’s basketball.
Able’s first collegiate working experience came as a student athletic trainer at the University of Kentucky, 2012-16. Able received his bachelor in science degree in Kinesiology - exercise science in December of 2016.
Able worked with and assisted the certified athletic trainers with rehabilitation programs for student athletes. He worked the practices and games including setting up, preventative taping and first aid for the football team for two years and with the men’s soccer team for two years. During his time, UK’s men’s soccer team won the regular season 2015 C-USA championship.
He received his master's degree from FAU’s world renowned MBA sports management program in December of 2018.
