Assumed the position of Assistant Inside Linebacker Coach in January of 2025
Named Interim Linebacker Coach for the final two games of the 2024 season
Elevated to defensive analyst in January of 2023, the position reunited Helm with his first defensive coordinator at FAU, Roc Bellantoni
Already enrolled in graduate school, the transition to a GA position was seamlessly made in the Spring of 22
Known as a player-coach, especially his last two seasons and first two with Head Coach Willie Taggart

As a Player

Joined the Owls in 2016 and was coached by three different head coaches, multiple coordinators, and position coaches, all mentors who he can draw experience from as he charts his career
Played five seasons, was a roster member six, tallying 173 tackles in that span, including 97 in his final campaign
Credited with two career interceptions and 10 career passes defended, recovered four fumbles, three of which came in 2021
Member of two conference championship teams and participated in three bowl games, winning two
As a senior, selected to PFF's All-Conference USA third team and was named CUSA Honorable Mention
Ended career with a 2021 fumble return of 52 yards, the second longest in program history
As a junior, named CUSA Honorable Mention
