Jaylon Watson joined Florida Atlantic University in January of 2021 as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Owls’ football team.
At Northern Arizona
Watson came to Boca Raton after serving as a graduate assistant at Northern Arizona during the 2020 football season
While at UNA, Watson worked in collaboration with football, track’s sprinters, jumpers and hurdler as well as with the women’s basketball team
At Wyoming
Served as an intern for the strength and conditioning program
Overseer of modified groups during team running sessions
Assisted with the implementation of all aspects of the strength and conditioning programs for football including strength training, Olympic lifting, linear and multi-directional speed development, position specific conditioning, and mobility/corrective exercise programs
Led large group workout sessions and was instrumental in creating the COVID-10 protocols for the strength and conditioning facility
As a Student-Athlete
Saw action for the University of Wyoming at three different positions: linebacker, defensive end and fullback, where he was a four-year letterwinner and a member of the Dean’s honor roll list 2018-19 and a Mountain West Academic All-Conference Team member in 2019

Personal Education: Earned a Sciences in American Studies from the University of Wyoming in May of 2019 and is currently working on a master’s degree in the same area of study Certifications: The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and Certified Strength, Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), USA Weightlifting (USAW) Level 1 Sports Performance Coach (USAW-SPL1) and American Heart Association CPR/AED
