- Ahead of his final year with the squad, was voted 2018 Team Captain
- Set a career high with 26 appearances, including seven of the team's last 11 games in the postseason (and five in a row in the Conference USA Championship)
- Would rank fourth in C-USA with those 26 games pitched
- Over his final 10 outings, spanning 8 2/3 innings, gave up just two runs and struck out 12. Nine of those 10 games were scoreless
