Stephen Chamblee, an infielder and right-handed pitcher, comes to FAU from Plant High School in Tampa where he was named the 2014 Plant HS MVP after a phenomenal season with a 1.15 ERA. A decorated pitcher and infielder, Chamblee earned several distinguished titles in his varsity career. In 2014, his performances earned him a spot on the Perfect Game All-Region honorable mention team, All-Western Conference first team as infielder, Hillsborough County All-Star Team, FACA All-Star team, and the Tampa Times & Tribune first team. Chamblee was also a runner-up for the Wade Boggs Award. Last season, he hit .379 with 18 RBI and four doubles. A solid contact hitter, Chamblee struck out just 27 times in his 67 games and 233 career plate appearances.
