Indian River State (2008-09): Played two seasons Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, FL after transferring from UConn after his freshman year...at Indian River, he went 4-3 with 70 strikeouts in 50 innings with only 15 walks and a .246 batting average against...batted .383 as a freshman...received his AA in Finance from Indian River in 2009... named the FCCAA Pitcher of the Week after beating Miami-Dade College and Palm Beach SC in consecutive starts and closed out a win against Broward State College in 2008...played summer ball in 2007 for the Bethesda Blue Caps of the Clark Griffith Wood Bat All-Star League...was a utility player and finished with a 3.97 ERA and 50 strikeouts in 47 innings pitched and a .231 batting average against...also batted .310 at the plate with six doubles, one home run and 15 stolen bases.
