BOCA RATON, Fla. – Senior pitcher
Autumn Courtney and redshirt junior outfielder
Kylie Hammonds of the Florida Atlantic softball team were named to the American All-Conference First Team, announced the league on Tuesday.
The duo helped lead the Owls to a 33-19 record and a No. 4 seed in the American Conference Championship. This marks the second consecutive season two FAU players earned a spot on the all-conference first team.
After receiving All-American honors in 2025, Courtney put forth another stellar season in '26, leading the team with 120 strikeouts (third in the conference) and a 2.61 ERA. Her 17 victories on the year rank third in the American.
Over her four-year collegiate career, Courtney has tossed 740 strikeouts, ninth most among all active Division I pitchers, and has tallied 77 career victories, ranked No. 4 nationwide.
Building off an all-conference season a year ago, Hammonds reached new heights in '26, leading the team in hits with 58 and launching nine home runs. Her on-base percentage of .490 was best among the team and as the only Owl to start all 52 games, she reached base safely in 47 appearances.
During league play, Hammonds recorded an on-base percentage of .519, highest among all outfielders in the league. She ranked among the top outfielders in runs (23, tied for first), hits (35, second) batting average (.412, second), walks (16, second), and OPS (1.095, third).
Hammonds and Courtney are now the first duo in Florida Atlantic history to be named first team all-conference in consecutive seasons.
The No. 4-seeded Owls have earned a double bye for the conference championship and will take the field on Thursday at noon on ESPN+.
