Owls Host Tulane as Regular Season Hits the Home Stretch

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic baseball (17-19, 4-8 American) hosts Tulane (20-18, 6-6 American) for a pivotal American Conference series beginning Friday night at the FAU Baseball Stadium. With 15 league games remaining, the Owls enter the weekend holding the eighth and final spot toward the American Conference Tournament.

- The Owls took two of three from Memphis on the road last weekend, winning in seven innings on Friday and in 13 innings on Saturday.
- Ian Collier was 7-for-13 in the series with three home runs and six RBI.
- John Martinez was 8-for-15 with two doubles and six RBI.
- Zach Kilby set a new career high with eight strikeouts in five innings of relief on Saturday.
- Collier homered twice in Sunday's finale.
- On Tuesday, the Owls jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning against FGCU but managed just two hits the rest of the way in an 8-6 defeat.

- Collier is 13-for-30 (.433) with five HR, 13 RBI, 12 runs scored, two doubles, and a 1.000 SLG% in the last 10 games. He is the reigning American Conference Player of the Week.
- Since moving back to the leadoff spot in the batting order on April 3, Marshall Lipsey is 8-for-23 with seven walks, three hit-by-pitches, and seven runs scored.
- Martinez has four doubles and 10 RBI in the last 10 games. He leads the Owls with 27 runs batted in on the season.
