Owls Jazzed with a 6-1 Win at Tulane

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Florida Atlantic men's tennis defeated Tulane 6-1 on Thursday afternoon to close out the four-match road swing with a win.

FAU, 5-5, will finish the 2026 spring season playing seven of its last eight matches in Paradise. The Owls are now 2-5 on the road and 1-1 versus American Conference members, although conference standing are not kept. FAU will play four American members in the coming weeks, three of which are at home. With the loss, Tulane falls to 3-6.

THE BEGINNING
The Owls' top court duo of Mark Havlicek / Marek Pazdera downed the host by a score of 6-4. FAU fell on court #3, but captured the doubles point on court #2 with Segundo Goity Zapico / Simon Myslivec 6-4 win to clinch the point.

THE MIDDLE
FAU pushed the lead to 2-0 with Havlicek's straight-set 6-4, 6-3 win on court #1. Goity Zapico was victorious on court #2 by a 6-3, 6-3 score and Simon Myslivec clinched the match for the Owls with a 6-2, 6-3 court #4 victory.

THE FINISH
With a pre-match determination to play each court in its entirety, Tulane captured court #5 in straight sets. Lucca Miremont, who recently moved into the deep Owls' lineup, captured court #6 at 6-3, 6-2. The final score was realized on court #3 where FAU's Pazdera staved off an equally paired opponent by a score of 7-6, 6-3.
