BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's tennis team improved to 6-5 on the year with a gutty 4-3 come-from-behind win over the visiting Utah State on Tuesday afternoon in Paradise.
The Owls (6-5) uncharacteristically dropped the doubles point and saw a player medically retired versus Utah State (7-5) before staging the remarkable comeback.
QUOTABLE
"Today was a super gritty performance from our team," said
Ricardo Gonzalez, FAU's Director of Tennis. "Utah State is a very tough team and they were very hungry to take us down. Our boys did a good job staying tough when it mattered. Kudos to Mark, Marek, Simon and Jan for picking up wins in singles to get the victory for the team."
