BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's tennis team is on the tail end of five matches in nine days, four of which are against ranked opponents. Friday's match at South Florida, a 4-0 loss, was the only one on the road and the lone versus a non-ranked team.
The Owls' schedule was also altered due to weather which shifted Wednesday night's match to Thursday morning and forced the team to travel following their ETSU match for Friday morning's match.
THE BEGINNING
FAU (6-9) shook up the lineup versus the Bulls (5-12) for both singles and doubles play. The shuffle saw
Mark Havlicek /
Luca Miremont pick up a 6-3 doubles win, but the Owls surrendered the point to the Bulls.
THE MIDDLE
The Owls trailing 1-0, began slow in singles play and came back on each court but the hole was too large to fully escape.
THE FINISH
FAU dropped court #6 and #2 before a full comeback could be mounted. FAU also dropped court #1 for the 4-0 loss.
