BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic softball team will head to Wichita State for a three-game series. Friday's first pitch is at 7 p.m. ET, followed by Saturday at 5 p.m. ET and Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. All games will air on ESPN+.
Continuing league play, the Owls (20-9, 3-3) will look to gain ground in the American Conference standings against a Shockers team (16-10, 4-2) that is on a five-game winning streak.

ABOUT THE OWLS
- Head Coach Jordan Clark is in her fourth season at the helm of the program and owns a 141-57 record. Clark and her assistants received the American Conference Coaching Staff of the Year recognition in both 2024 and '25.
- As back-to-back regular season champions, Florida Atlantic was ranked No. 1 in the American Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- Senior pitcher Autumn Courtney became the program's fifth All-American in May of 2025 after winning the unanimous American Conference Pitcher of the Year honor. She opened the '26 season earning American Pitcher of the Week and currently leads the team with 59 strikeouts and is No. 4 nationally among all active players with 69 career victories. Earlier in the week, she was named the Palm Beach County Amateur Athlete of the Year.
- As a team, the Owls lead the American Conference in runs (177), doubles (49), RBI (156), walks (107), on-base percentage (.414), runs allowed (84), strikeouts thrown (190), opposing batting average (.238) and fielding percentage (.981).
- Florida Atlantic ranks No. 8 nationwide in fielding percentage and No. 28 in doubles.
- Holtje has earned both an American Player of the Week and two Honorable Mention recognitions. She leads the Owls in batting average (.436), hits (34), OPS (1.296), doubles (10), RBI (27) walks (20) and on-base percentage (.540). She has reached base in 21 consecutive games.
- Senior first baseman Yani Guzman has had a career-best start to her season and is currently fourth on the team in batting average (.385). She has a hit in 13 out of her last 16 games.
- Redshirt junior outfielder Kylie Hammonds leads the conference in runs (34) and is second in home runs (seven). She owns the all-time program record in career hit-by-pitches (20).
- Senior third baseman Jesiana Mora has recorded a hit in 20 out of 24 games played. On Feb. 28 against Coastal Carolina, she tied FAU's single-game program record in walks with four.
- Graduate pitcher Ainsley Lambert leads the nation with six saves and is the career leader among all active players with 28. She is the only pitcher in the American, who faced the minimum number of batters, to hold opposing batters to an average lower than .200 (.177).
ABOUT THE SHOCKERS
- Head Coach Kristi Bredbenner is in her 15th season with the team. She has led the Shockers to five NCAA Regional Appearances (2016, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2023) including the only NCAA Regional Final appearances in school history (2018, 2021).
- Sophomore Ausha Moore ranks No. 17 nationally in on base percentage at .584. She leads the conference with 11 hit-by-pitches.
- In the circle, sophomore pitcher Ava Sliger is second in the American with a 2.01 ERA. She holds a 4-0 record.
- Wichita State leads the conference with 36 home runs.
- The Shockers trail FAU 7-2 in the all-time series, with the Owls sweeping the most recent series in 2025.

The Owls will make a midweek stop in Miami to face FIU on Wednesday, March 25 at 6 p.m., followed by a home series on Joan Joyce Field at FAU Softball Stadium against UTSA from Friday, March 27 to Sunday, March 29.
