QUOTABLE
Head Coach Jordan Clark
"I am proud to elevate Shelby to associate head coach for our program. She is a tireless worker and brings so much value to our team. She is one of the brightest minds in the game and has pushed our team to a higher level in her two years here. She has built our defense into a top ten defense in the country the last two seasons."

ABOUT PETIK
Petik will enter year three in Paradise in 2027 and has overseen one of the country's top defenses while being on Coach Clark's staff for consecutive 35+ win seasons.
As a team, FAU has finished top 10 nationwide in fielding percentage in each of the last three seasons, joining Arkansas and Oklahoma as the only teams to do so.
In 2025, Petik's first season, the Owls finished No. 2 nationally in fielding percentage at .983, the best mark in team history. This helped propel Florida Atlantic to its second consecutive American Conference regular season title and an NCAA Regional bid. Petik was a part of the American's Coaching Staff of the Year.
Under Petik's command of the defense, Florida Atlantic earned its first Rawlings Gold Glove honor when Bella Foran was named as the best 2026 defensive left fielder in the country.
Petik joined the Florida Atlantic coaching staff in August of 2024 after serving as the head coach for Eastern Florida State College. Over her three-year run at the helm, the Titans made their first NJCAA Region 8 Championship and recorded their first nationwide ranking, coming in as high as No. 13.
