No. 13 Sandy Owls Set to Host Florida Atlantic Beach Invitational

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 13 Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team returns to Paradise this weekend to host the Florida Atlantic Beach Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, March 14-15 in Pompano Beach, Florida.

8 a.m. – vs. No. 7 Florida State | Live Scoring
10 a.m. – vs. No. 6 TCU | Live Scoring
Sunday, March 15
10 a.m. – vs. No. 3 USC | Live Scoring
2 p.m. – vs. Tampa| Live Scoring
The Sandy Owls are coming off a 3-1 weekend at the Chanticleer Challenge. The Owls earned wins over Tulane, 3-2, Coastal Carolina, 4-1, and Georgia State, 4-1, but fell against No. 4 Cal Poly, 5-0. FAU enters this weekend's Beach Invitational at 10-2 overall and 2-0 in CUSA play.
Florida Atlantic will open play on Friday, March 14, at 8 a.m. against No. 7 Florida State. The Seminoles lead the all-time series 21-0 as the Owls will look for their first win against FSU. Florida Atlantic will close play on Friday at 10 a.m. against No. 6 TCU. FAU is 4-8 all-time against the Horned Frogs.
FAU will begin day two on Saturday, March 15, at 10 a.m. against No. 3 USC. The Trojans lead the series 8-0 between USC and FAU. The Owls close out the weekend at 2 p.m. against Tampa. The Sandy Owls are 5-1 all-time against the Spartans.
