BOCA RATON, Fla. – The 15th-ranked Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team begins its 2026 campaign this weekend, hosting the Beach Burrow Bash on Friday, Feb. 20, and Saturday, Feb. 21. The Sandy Owls welcome Coastal Carolina, Boise State, FIU, and Palm Beach Atlantic.

The Sandy Owls are coming off one of the most decorated seasons in program history. Florida Atlantic went 21-15 in 2025, marking the fourth 20-win season in program history, and captured its third all-time conference title and second CUSA Championship in program history.
The Sandy Owls look to continue their momentum into the 2026 season, entering the upcoming season as the No. 15-ranked team in the nation.
Florida Atlantic landed two CUSA Preseason Team honorees as
Denisse Morgenstern and
Kendall Mignerey earned preseason honors.
The Sandy Owls open the season on Friday against Coastal Carolina at 12 p.m. Florida Atlantic holds a 2-1 all-time series lead against the Chanticleers. However, Friday's matchup will be the first-ever meeting in Boca Raton. The Sandy Owls won the first two meetings between the two programs. However, the Chanticleers secured a 3-2 victory in the last meeting on March 24, 2023, in DeLand, Florida. The Sandy Owls close out their opening day against Boise State at 4 p.m. The Sandy Owls are 1-0 all-time against the Broncos, earning the program's first win against Boise State last season on March 7, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Florida Atlantic will then begin play on Saturday at 2 p.m. against Palm Beach Atlantic. The Sandy Owls will look to extend their perfect 8-0 record against the Sailfish. Florida Atlantic closes out the weekend against CUSA rival FIU at 4 p.m. FIU leads the all-time series 19-8 between the Sandy Owls and the Panthers. Florida Atlantic has won two of the last three meetings between the two programs; however, the Panthers won the last matchup, taking a 3-2 win on March 1, 2025, in Miami.
