BOCA RATON, Fla. – After nearly a month-long hiatus, the Florida Atlantic men's tennis team will return home to play host to in-state foe FGCU on Friday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. The match will be played at the Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center on FAU's Boca Raton campus.
The Owls hold the all-time series, 13-4, with FGCU taking the last match 6-1 back on Feb. 2, 2024, in Fort Myers. FAU juniors
Mark Havlicek and Simon Mylivec captured matches in that contest as freshmen, both in straight sets by a 6-4, 6-4 score.
The duo is expected to lead the Owls once again. Havlicek is 4-1 this season and will stand in with a 3-0 record on the top court and a 1-1 mark on court #2, while Myslivec is 2-2 this season. Sophomore
Segundo Goity Zapico has also seen time on court #1 holding a 1-1 mark and a 3-0 record on court #2 for an overall record of 4-1.
Havlicek teams with
Marek Pazdera for a perfect 3-0 record on doubles court#1 while Myslivec and Goity Zapico hold a 3-1 record on court #2.

The Owls will travel to Orlando where they are scheduled to face UCF on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 12 p.m. and will then travel to Tampa where they will play at a neutral site on Sunday, March 1 versus Pennsylvania at 10 a.m.
