2025 NFL Owls - End of Regular Season

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The 2025 NFL regular season concluded with four former Florida Atlantic Owls seeing action. Three active players are moving on to the postseason, with each of them participating in the same game in the Wild Card round. Here's a rundown of how each performed during the 18th week and their final season stats (All gametimes listed below are Eastern):
Active Owls (4) #0 Azeez Al-Shaair | LB | Houston Texans
- The Pro Bowler and Walter Payton Man of the Year club winner Al-Shaair played 26 snaps on defense and made a tackle. He then had a well-deserved rest in the second half as the Texans held on to defeat the Indianapolis Colts by a score of 38-30. Texans Record: 12-5 (First in AFC South, fifth seed in the conference) Season Stats: In 16 games games/16 starts, 103 tackles (48 solo, 55 assists), career-high nine pass deflections and two interceptions, one fumble forced and recovered, one tackle for loss Next Game: at Pittsburgh (and Pierre) – Monday, 8 p.m. (ESPN/ABC)
#88 Harrison Bryant | TE | Houston Texans
- Bryant made his first start since Week 10 and contributed 16 snaps on offense and seven on special teams. He joins his teammate Al-Shaair in the postseason matchup against their former Owl teammate James Pierre. Season Stats: In 12 games/four starts, two catches for seven yards (3.5 per catch with a long of five), one first down Next Game: at Pittsburgh (and Pierre) – Monday, 8 p.m. (ESPN/ABC)
#42 James Pierre | CB | Pittsburgh Steelers
- Pierre returned to his starting role at cornerback in the Steelers' final regular season game, a win-or-go-home scenario against the Baltimore Ravens. With the division title on the line, Pierre made two tackles in 30 defensive snaps with four on special teams as Pittsburgh won the 26-24 thriller. Steelers Record: 10-7 (First in AFC North, fourth seed in conference) Season Stats: In 14 games/five starts, 30 tackles (14 solo, 16 assists), career-high 11 pass deflections, one interception, one fumble return, one touchdown Next Game: vs. Houston (and Al-Shaair and Bryant) – Monday, 8 p.m. (ESPN/ABC)
#26 Devin Singletary | RB | New York Giants
- "Motor" concluded the season with a nine-carry, 26-yard performance, culminating in a capitalizing touchdown run in the fourth quarter of the 34-17 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. He finishes the year with five touchdowns on the ground, his most in a season since 2022. Singletary also displayed a new talent on a successful two-point conversion attempt, completing a pass into the end zone for the score.
Giants Final Record: 4-13 (Fourth in NFC East) Season Stats: In 17 games/one start, 119 carries for 437 yards (3.7 per carry with a long of 29), five touchdowns, 18 catches for 151 yards (8.4 per catch with a long of 41), 31 total first downs, 12 kick returns for 313 yards (26.1 per return with a long of 33).
