BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic's softball team has been ranked No. 1 in the 2026 American Conference Softball Preseason Coaches' Poll, released on Wednesday morning.
The Owls enter the '26 campaign coming off back-to-back American regular season championships and will look to become the first team in league history to achieve three consecutive regular season titles. This marks the first time FAU enters the season ranked No. 1 since joining the conference.
Fourth-year Head Coach
Jordan Clark has overseen the team in its first two years as members of the conference, winning 86 games, finishing on top in both seasons and earning the American Coaching Staff of the Year.
The team welcomes back the reigning unanimous American Pitcher of the Year in
Autumn Courtney and fellow First Team All-Conference members
Kylie Hammonds, as well as Defensive Player of the Year
Jesiana Mora. Other all-conference members returning are
Bella Foran and
Ainsley Lambert as well as All-Freshmen recipient
Destiny Johns.
Florida Atlantic will begin its season on Thursday, Feb. 5 against Indiana at 6 p.m. The third year of American play opens for the Owls on Friday, Mar. 4 with a three-game series against Charlotte.
