CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The
Florida Atlantic women's track & field team completed the second day of the 2025 American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships, hosted by Charlotte, on Friday evening.
Junior
Rosa ten Berg started the evening with qualifying in the 800-meter run prelims. In the 400-meter run, the Owls had two representatives,
Jada Bolhuis and
Richelle Williams. Next on the docket for the evening was the 100-meter run, where
Camilla Nicholas ran for FAU. To complete the second day,
Anabell Reumann,
Jessica Hatch, and
Astrid Baunge ran the 3000-meter steeplechase.
QUICK HITS
- ten Berg registered a 2:08.82 to move onto the 800-meter run finals on Championship Saturday.
- To close out her first season as an Owl, Bolhuis recorded a 56.40 in the 400-meter run for a new personal best.
- Reumann placed for the second year in a row. This time, she came in second overall with a 10:22.28 in the 3000-meter steeplechase to etch herself in the record book at No. 2.
- The second Owl to finish the 3000-meter SC was Hatch with a 10:40.95.
- To complete her freshman campaign, Baunge crossed the finish line at the 11:15.77 mark.
UPCOMING
The Owls will move on to the final day of the championships. The first event of the night for FAU will be the 800-meter finals at 6 p.m. on ESPN+
