No. 25 Owls Host Senior Weekend Versus Memphis

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 25 Florida Atlantic softball team will host their final home series of the 2025 season with a matchup against Memphis from Friday, April 25 to Sunday, April 27. All games are on ESPN+.
Fresh off their fourth sweep in American Athletic Conference play, the Owls (38-9, 17-4) will look to maintain first place in the league standings with their second series all-time versus the Tigers (17-30, 4-17).
At the conclusion of Sunday's game, the team's four seniors: Kelsey Endress, Ainsley Lambert, Abby Ota, and Gabby Sacco, will be honored for their contributions to the program.
For all three games, kids 12 and under will get free admission.
Junior third baseman Jesiana Mora led the way on offense with a hit in each game for six total on the weekend, including her third three-hit game of the season in the series finale. Both Courtney and Mora were named a weekly honorable mention by the AAC.
The 2025 AAC Tournament, taking place in Tampa, is scheduled from Wednesday, May 7 to Saturday, May 10.

The Owls handled East Carolina (25-23, 10-11) on the road with a three-game sweep, bookended by two wins and 14 total strikeouts from junior pitcher Autumn Courtney on Thursday and Saturday. Junior third baseman Jesiana Mora led the way on offense with a hit in each game for six total on the weekend, including her third three-hit game of the season in the series finale. Both Courtney and Mora were named a weekly honorable mention by the AAC.
ABOUT THE OWLS
- The Owls are led by Head Coach Jordan Clark in her third season at the helm of the program with a record of 114-45.
- Among members of the AAC, Florida Atlantic leads in batting average (.327), hits (408), stolen base percentage (.886), ERA (2.56), shutouts (eight), strikeouts (258), opponent batting average (.211), and fielding percentage (.983).
- Nationwide, Florida Atlantic is third in fielding percentage, tied for 22nd in hits and ERA, tied for 28th in doubles (69), 30th in batting average, and 37th in runs (291).
- Mora and junior catcher Chloe Yeatts are tied for the team-lead in home runs with seven each.
- Redshirt sophomore outfielder Kylie Hammonds has reached base in 43 out of 47 games on the season and has a current streak of 16 games. She leads the Owls in runs (41), walks (28), hit-by-pitches (12), and on-base percentage (.497).
- Freshman outfielder Bella Foran leads the team in hits (59) and is 17th nationwide in batting average (.461).
- Courtney has won a league-high four AAC Pitcher of the Week awards in addition to her two honorable mentions. With a 20-2 record on the season, she is tied for third nationally in victories and is tied for 27th in strikeouts (139) and 31st in ERA (1.88). She has also held opponents to just a .159 batting average, lowest in the conference.
- Senior pitcher Ainsley leads the NCAA in saves with nine to go with her 6-1 record and has an ERA of 1.78, the 26th lowest nationwide.
- The Owls have recorded five run-rule wins in AAC play and 11 during the 2025 campaign, their most in a single year since their debut season in 1995.
- Florida Atlantic is ranked No. 25 in both the Softball America and D1Softball polls.
ABOUT THE TIGERS
- Memphis is led by Head Coach Trena Prater, her first year with the program.
- Senior Zoe Adebayo leads the team in home runs (nine), RBI (31), and walks (29).
- Freshman Lyrical Bennett is the Tigers' top pitcher with 100.2 innings thrown, including seven complete games.
- The Tigers are second in the AAC in stolen bases with 64.
- Memphis has yet to win a game against Florida Atlantic in the previous four meetings between the two teams with the Owls outscoring the Tigers 42-3.
