CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Florida Atlantic baseball heads back to the state of North Carolina for the second time in the month of April to start a three-game weekend series with Charlotte on Friday at noon on ESPN+. Saturday's first pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m., and Sunday's finale is set for 1 p.m. The Owls (27-13) and the 49ers (23-17) enter the weekend with 9-6 records in the American Athletic Conference.
- Tuesday's 17-2 defeat at the hands of UCF was the first time this season the Owls have lost a game by more than four runs.
- John Schroeder homered for the 10th time this season to tie Marshall Lipsey for the team lead.
- Sophomore starter Trey Beard is second in Division I with 92 strikeouts.
