No. 1 Seed Florida Atlantic Set For 2025 CUSA Tournament

YOUNGSVILLE, La. – The No. 1 seed Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team is set to open postseason play on Thursday, April 24 as the Sandy Owls get set to compete in the Conference USA Championship on April 24-26 at Sugar Beach in Youngsville, Louisiana.
The Sandy Owls finished the regular season at 17-14 overall record and 4-2 in CUSA play. They enter postseason play as the top seed in the CUSA Championship. As the one-seed, the Sandy Owls will take on the play-in game winner, either No. 8 Sam Houston or No. 9 Jacksonville State, in the opening round of the CUSA Championship on Thursday, April 24 at 3:30 p.m. ET.

No. 8 Sam Houston carries a 1-15 overall record and a 0-2 mark CUSA play heading into the CUSA Tournament. No. 9 Jacksonville State enters postseason play at 0-6 overall and 0-0 in league play. Thursday would mark the first meeting between Florida Atlantic and Sam Houston. Against Jacksonville State, the Sandy Owls hold a perfect 4-0 record.
With a Sandy Owl win on Thursday, Florida Atlantic will then prepare for a winner's bracket quarterfinal against either No. 4-seed UAB or No. 5-seed UTEP on Friday, April 25 at 11 a.m. ET
