YOUNGSVILLE, La. – The No. 1 seed Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team opened up play in the CUSA Tournament on Thursday, sweeping the No. 9 seed Jacksonville State Gamecocks 3-0 to advance to the CUSA quarterfinals.
The Sandy Owls dominated from start to finish.

Ashleigh Adams and
Marketa Svozilova secured the second point for FAU, dominating 21-7, 21-6 at the No. 1 position.
Sydney Schroder and
Olivia Strandberg clinched the match for the Owls, taking a 21-9, 21-12 straight-set win on court four.
