BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic softball team is in the national rankings after coming in at No. 25 in both the Softball America and D1Softball polls.
After sweeping East Carolina over the weekend, the Owls stand at 38-9 with the fourth most wins in the nation and are atop of the American Athletic Conference at 17-4. FAU has recorded five run-rule wins in AAC play and 11 during the whole 2025 campaign, most in a single year since its debut season in 1995.
Nationally, Florida Atlantic is ranked third in fielding percentage (.983), 22nd nationwide in hits (408) as well as ERA (2.56), tied for 28th in doubles (74), 30th in batting average (.327), and 37th in runs (291).
Individually, senior pitcher
Ainsley Lambert leads the NCAA in saves with nine and is 26th in ERA (1.78) while junior pitcher
Autumn Courtney is third nationally in wins (20), tied for 27th in strikeouts (139), and is 31st in ERA (1.88). On offense, freshman outfielder
Bella Foran is 17th in batting average (.461).
The No. 25 Owls will play their final home series of the 2025 season from Friday, April 25 to Sunday, April 27, hosting Memphis. All games are on ESPN+.
