MIAMI– The No. 21 Florida Atlantic softball team heads to Miami for a road outing against FIU on Wednesday, April 2. First pitch is at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
In their final midweek non-conference matchup of the season, the Owls (32-5, 11-1 AAC) will face the Panthers (25-11, 8-4 CUSA) for the second time in 2025. FAU previously recorded a 5-1 victory over FIU in Boca Raton on February 19.

Florida Atlantic recorded a sweep over UTSA, posting double-digit runs and run-ruling all three games to outscore the opponent 38-5.
The sweep continued on Monday with the Owls winning both American Athletic Conference weekly awards. Junior third baseman
Jesiana Mora won Player of the Week, while classmate
Autumn Courtney received Pitcher of the Week.
- The Owls are led by Head Coach Jordan Clark in her third season at the helm of the program with a record of 108-41.
- Nationwide, Florida Atlantic is ranked fifth in fielding percentage (.982), 10th in doubles (64), 14th in hits (330), 23rd in runs (246), 27th in batting average (.334) 27th in ERA (2.47) and 28th in RBI (217).
- Mora leads the team in home runs with seven.
- Freshman outfielder Bella Foran is 16th nationwide in batting average (.476) and 24th in hits (49).
- Redshirt sophomore outfielder Kylie Hammonds has reached base in 33 out of 37 games this season.
- Courtney is ranked 25th nationally in strikeouts (100) and is fifth in victories with a 15-1 record. She reached 50 career wins in Friday's series opener.
- Senior pitcher Ainsley Lambert leads the NCAA in saves with seven and has the lowest ERA in the AAC (1.58), ranked 25th nationally.
- The Owls' 32 wins are tied for third most in the nation. 13 are via a comeback, also tied for third most.
- Florida Atlantic is ranked No. 21 by D1Softball, No. 23 in the NFCA Coaches Poll, and No. 25 by Softball America.
- Mike Meyers is serving as active head coach this season.
- The Panthers boast a 17-5 record at home.
- Sophomore outfielder Kally Meredith is tied for 30th in the nation in hits with 48.
- Junior two-way player Kennedy Byrd has made her mark in the circle for a team-high 52 strikeouts. She owns a 10-6 record in 2025.
- FIU trails the all-time series to FAU 30-25 and has lost the last eight.
In a matchup between the top two teams in the AAC, Florida Atlantic will host South Florida (29-10-1) at FAU Softball Stadium from Friday, April 4 to Sunday, April 6. All games are on ESPN+.
