BOCA RATON, Fla. – Trinity Schlotterbeck, player-turned-graduate assistant for the Florida Atlantic softball team, was awarded Amateur Athlete of the Year by the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame on Sunday evening.
Schlotterbeck beat out two other finalists and was announced as the winner during the 48th Annual Palm Beach County Sport Hall of Fame Awards Celebration at the Palm Beach Kennel Club.
Joining Florida Atlantic prior to the 2024 season, Schlotterbeck delivered an All-American season, the fourth Owl to do so in program history. The two-way player delivered both at the plate and in the circle, leading the team in both home runs (10) and RBI (47) while pitching four shutouts and 10 complete games. Thanks to her efforts, FAU won the American Athletic Conference regular season championship in its first year of league play and qualified for the NCAA Regionals for the first time since 2016.
Schlotterbeck remains with the program as a graduate assistant for the nationally ranked Owls.
