BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic softball team's will kick off their 2025 season by hosting the Paradise Classic, held from Thursday, Feb. 6 to Sunday, Feb. 9, where they will play their first six games.
The Owls will take Joan Joyce Field at FAU Softball Stadium for the first time since winning the American Athletic Conference regular season championship in their debut campaign as a member of the league. A ring ceremony scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 8 at Noon will honor the 2024 squad that made the program's first NCAA Regional appearance since 2016. Alumni of the team from years' past will be in attendance and recognized throughout the weekend.
FAU opens their regular season against Ole Miss on Thursday, with first pitch scheduled for 4 p.m., followed by an outing against Kansas right after at 7 p.m. Also set to face the Owls are Clemson, Georgia State, and Missouri State.
The Owls are led by Head Coach
Jordan Clark, entering her third season at the helm of the program with a record of 76-36.

Last season, the Owls made a statement in their first year in the AAC, finishing with a 41-16 record.. Florida Atlantic rolled through conference play, posting a 21-6 mark to clinch the AAC regular season championship. Their impressive performance secured them a long-awaited trip to the NCAA Regionals for the first time in eight years.
FAU established itself as an offensive powerhouse, leading the AAC in many statistical categories, including at-bats (1,520), hits (458), and runs (340). The Owls also finished with the second-highest team batting average in the conference at .301. Behind their success was an elite coaching staff that earned recognition as the 2024 AAC Coaching Staff of the Year.The Owls welcome back sophomore shortstop
Kiley Channell, who is coming off a stellar 2024 campaign that saw her win AAC Freshman of the Year and rank No. 11 nationally in doubles with 19. Also returning is junior third baseman
Jesiana Mora, who appeared in all 57 games last season and earned accolades such as 2024 AAC Second Team All-Conference and 2024 NFCA DI All-Region Second Team.
Senior pitchers
Ainsley Lambert and
Gabby Sacco look to build on their success in the circle. Lambert earned All-AAC First Team after leading the team with 89 strikeouts and finishing fifth in the nation in saves. Sacco pitched over 90 innings last season with a 3.38 ERA and was the Owlspy's Female Athlete of the Year after winning the 2023 Conference USA Pitcher of the Year.
