BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's and women's swimming and diving teams are set to compete in their respective 2025 conference championships. The women's team will compete in their third American Athletic Conference Championship from Wednesday, Feb. 19 through Saturday, Feb. 22, hosted by SMU, inside the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium in Dallas, Texas.
For the men, they'll be staying on the east coast, travelling to Knoxville, Tennessee, ready for their second ASUN Conference Championship from Wednesday, Feb. 19 to Saturday, Feb. 22. Inside the Allan Jones Aquatic Center.
Following a well-rounded regular season that saw a second consecutive sweep in the annual midseason Patriot Invite and five new school records, the Owls look to carry over their regular season success into conference play.

Men
- For the second straight season, the Owls took first place out of seven teams in the Patriot Invitational with 1,953.5 points
- The team also earned first place finishes in both scored home meets this season
- At the Patriot Invitational, the relay team consisting of Timo Paisley, Logan Thornsberry, James Shevchenko, and Daniel Laureyssens set a new school record in the 800 free relay posting a time of 6:31.01
- Both Matthew Hand (55.59) and Jayden Repak (55.61) took down the freshman record in the 100 breast this season
- Six weekly awards have been given to the Owls, spread amongst three different athletes: divers Trevor Kuhn (three times) and Isac Faxius (two times), and swimmer Peyton Ming
Women
- For the second straight season, the Owls took first place finish out of seven teams in the Patriot Invitational with 1,936 points
- The team recorded first place finishes in both scored home meets this season
- During the course of the season, the Owls broke three school records in the 200 free, 400 free, and 400 medley relay
- The record breaking 200 free relay team included Ludo Pavia, Izzy Jones, Dolores Margni and Bry Bellile. The 400 medley relay team consisted of Aura Vilarrasa, Pavia, Margni, and Jones
- Pavia set a new freshman record in the 100 back with a time of 1:01.66
- Sophia Clack won the inaugural AAC Freshman Diver of the Week award. She won the award again later in the season as well as Ludo Pavia winning the Owls' first AAC Freshman Swimmer of the Week
Men
- The men's team finished third in their first ASUN Championship appearance, scoring 568 points
- Trevor Kuhn won the bronze medal in the 1-meter dive with a score of 285.25
- The Owls closed day one with a third-place finish in the 200 medley relay, combining for a time of 1:27.05
- In the 200 free relay, the Owls combined for a time of 1:20.34 to win the bronze
- Another school record was set, this time for the third-place 400 medley relay team combining for a time of 3:12.82
- Peyton Ming set a program record in the 100 back (47.90)
- Night three concluded with a third-place podium finish with a school record of 6:32.17 in the 800 free relay
Women
- The 200 medley relay team earned a bronze medal and set what was a school record with a team including Riley Trout, Bilú Bianchi, and Izzy Jones
- The 200 free relay earned a bronze medal, as the team of Jones, Dolores Margni, Bry Bellile, and Julia Earnshaw broke what was a 20-year school record with a time of 1:32.30
- A freshman at the time, Bellile brought home a silver medal in 200 free finals (1:48.19)
- Trout, for the third time in the 2023-24 season, broke the 100 back school record with a time of 54.24 in the finals
- Margni set a program record in the 100 fly with a time of 54.44 in the prelims and broke that mark in the finals with a time of 54.08. She also captured the bronze in the 200 fly and earned an NCAA 'B' cut with her time of 1:58.82
- The 400 free relay team that included Bellile, Jones, and Earnshaw closed out conference with what was a school record in the 400 free relay
Following the conclusion of the respective conference championships, the 2024-25 season will continue postseason competitions in the coming weeks. Owl divers who qualify, are set for the Diving B Zone Championships taking place from Mar. 9 to Mar. 12. Select Owls will then compete in their third National Invitational Championships, held in Ocala, Florida from Thursday, Mar. 13 – Saturday, Mar. 15. inside the FAST facility. The 2025 NCAA Championships are scheduled from Mar. 19 - 22 for the women and Mar. 26 – 29 for the men.
