PHILADELPHIA – Florida Atlantic's men's basketball team heads to Philadelphia after six days off, facing Temple on Sunday, Feb. 16. The matchup will tip off at 12 p.m. and will air nationally on ESPN2.
The Owls of FAU (14-10, 7-4 AAC) have won four straight games in American Athletic Conference play, all by double digits, and are currently tied for fourth place in the league. They will face a Temple Owls team (14-11, 6-6 AAC) that owns a 10-1 record when playing on their home floor.
Florida Atlantic took down Charlotte on Monday, Feb. 10 in an 87-75 victory, their fourth straight win at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena. The Owls were keyed by strong shooting performances, going 54.2% from the field, 48% from downtown, and 84.6% from the free throw line. Sophomore forward

- Florida Atlantic has shot over 50% from the field during their entire four game winning streak
- As an all-around player, junior forward Baba Miller is averaging 12.5 points per game, 7.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.3 blocks in his last 16 appearances. He was most recently awarded with his second conference weekly honorable hention
- Tandy leads the AAC in three-point shooting at a 42.3% clip. He has converted at least one three-point attempt in 23 out of 24 games and has made at least two in his last six appearances. Tandy has 63 makes from beyond the arc, fourth in the conference
- Center Matas Vokietaitis has won four AAC Freshman of the Week awards, the most of any player in the league
- Redshirt sophomore guard Niccolo Moretti, who reached 100 career assists against Charlotte, is 11th in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio with 81-to-24 (3.38)
- The Owls are ranked 12th nationally in bench ppg (32.1)
- FAU is the second highest scoring team in the AAC (81.3 ppg) and leads the league in assists (16.9 apg). They are second in field goal percentage (46.9%). Miller is second in the conference in blocks per game (1.8) and junior guard Leland Walker is tied for fourth in assists per game (4.3)
- Head Coach Adam Fisher is in his second season leading the program
- The Temple Owls boast the nation's second-best scorer in graduate Jamaal Mashburn Jr., averaging 22.0 points per game
- At 37.0%, Temple is the second-best three-point shooting team in the conference
- Temple gets to the line often, ranking fourth in the nation at 19.1 made free throws per game
- The Owls of Florida Atlantic will look to avenge their previous matchup, a loss in the AAC Tournament semifinals. Last season marked the first two times the programs have met, currently splitting the all-time series at 1-1
