BOCA RATON, Fla. – Week 9 of the 2025 NFL season is in the books with four former Florida Atlantic Owls seeing action. Here's a rundown of how each performed during the ninth week (All gametimes listed below are Eastern):
Active Owls (4) #0 Azeez Al-Shaair | LB | Houston Texans
- Al-Shaair played 100% of the team's defensive snaps for the third week in a row and led the unit with nine tackles against the Denver Broncos. Each of them stopped the offense at four yards or less, including one for a loss of two. Houston ultimately fell by a score of 18-15. Texans' Record: 3-5 Next Game: vs. Jacksonville – Sunday, 1 p.m. (CBS)
#88 Harrison Bryant | TE | Houston Texans
- Bryant took the field for 20 snaps on offense for the second week in a row and recorded his second catch of the season in Houston's loss. He also played a season high 16 snaps on special teams. Texans' Record: 3-5 Next Game: vs. Jacksonville – Sunday, 1 p.m. (CBS)
#42 James Pierre | CB | Pittsburgh Steelers
- Pierre recorded a pass breakup in Pittsburgh's 27-20 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. He saw the field for 16 snaps on defense and 17 on special teams. Steelers' Record: 5-3 Next Game: at L.A. Chargers – Sunday, 8:20 p.m. (NBC)
#26 Devin Singletary | RB | New York Giants
- "Motor" had his best game of the season, logging eight carries for 43 yards. He also caught two passes thrown his way for eight yards as the Giants lost to the San Francisco 49ers in a 34-24 defeat. Giants' Record: 2-7 Next Game: at Chicago – Sunday, 1 p.m. (FOX)
