First Day of 2024-25 Practice in the Books

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic's men's basketball team hit the courts on Thursday for their first official practice ahead of the 2024-25 season.
The new-look Owls and first-year Head Coach John Jakus began the marathon of their upcoming season with a three-hour session emphasizing intensity and physicality as the team looks to build chemistry on the court.
FAU will have two exhibition opportunities before the start of the regular season on Nov. 4, a neutral site matchup in Xenia, Ohio versus Indiana State. The Owls will host St. Leo on Oct. 26 and travel to Auburn on Nov. 1.
The 2024-25 season is presented by Phil Smith Kia/Phil Smith Acura.

I thought there were moments of brilliance and moments where had to work on some things, but that is what the first day is about. We will get better from here, but the main thing today is we are thankful."
